Caitlin Stone

Teacher Team Leader

Caitlin teaches in a Head Start classroom in the South Shore community of Chicago.

She has been involved in Stand’s Connection Conversations — a program which builds relational trust between families and schools through home visits — since its launch. She was drawn to this opportunity because Connection Conversations brings families in on her love of teaching. Caitlin believes that when teachers are welcomed into the homes of their students, only amazing things can happen. The impact of building relationships with the families of her students is an element of teaching she will continue to incorporate for years to come.

Caitlin earned her bachelor’s degree in early childhood education and her master’s degree in early childhood special education. She is a native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana and grew up in Gary, Indiana. She began her teaching career in 2012 in Champaign Unit 4 Schools. She values the foundation and inclusivity offered by early childhood classrooms and hopes to be a life-long Pre-K teacher.
