2026 Pro-Early Childhood Voter Guide

Welcome to our 2026 Pro-Early Childhood Voter Guide.

Our goal is to choose candidates who are committed to supporting Arizona’s working families through policies like a child tax credit and child care scholarships so that more Arizonans can afford to start—and grow—their families.

Working families need our help!

Arizona’s families are struggling with high costs. Child care can cost more than a mortgage. The cost of necessities continues to rise faster than wages.

These ever-increasing costs and the unaffordability of child care are preventing Arizonans who want to start—or expand—their families from doing so.

Expanding access to affordable child care could lead to nearly $5 billion in new economic growth.

Because we know Arizona grows when families grow.

Methodology

All candidates were assigned a grade of A-F for their support of Arizona’s families.

For incumbents, we looked at their voting record over the past two sessions and awarded points for every vote the candidate took in support of legislation to help Arizona families. We awarded bonus points for sponsoring or co-sponsoring legislation.

For non-incumbents, we sent candidates a survey and then graded them based on their responses.
