Arizona School Board Voter Guide
Your Vote Matters
Vote your whole ballot!
Your vote for your local School Board Members has the ability to impact the future of our community. As parents, we know that neighborhoods with strong, well-funded schools are safer and more economically prosperous. We know that our children are the future of our communities. Which is why it’s critical that we have a say in who will make important decisions for our local schools.
From approving school budgets and ensuring our children have access to the resources they need, to setting teacher pay and hiring qualified educators, to deciding policies for our students — school boards play a critical role in our schools and neighborhoods.
Our Values
As parents, grandparents, educators, and community members, we believe every Arizona student has the right to a high-quality education. We believe every school must have the teachers and resources they need to prepare our children for success. We believe that success looks different for every child and that parents must have the freedom to decide what’s best for their own families. That’s why we’ve chosen to endorse these 12 education champions represent our values and will fight for the future of our schools.
About our Process
We wanted make sure the school board candidates we endorsed shared our values as Arizona parents, grandparents, teachers, students and community members. This means ensuring the candidates we support are willing to put the hard work to make our dreams for our kids a reality. And above all, we wanted to make sure anyone we supported would be committed to listening to parents and community members.
Our candidate endorsement process started with sending a survey to each of the school board candidates. We wanted to hear from the candidates in their own words about their plans for the children of Arizona. The survey was composed of questions from parents and community members. Then, the parents and community members on our endorsement committee came together to review those survey responses and choose the candidates we felt best represented the needs and values of our local communities’ schools and students.
