Advocacy Fellowship
Fellows are passionate, advocates for policy solutions that increase equitable opportunities for families, historically furthest from privilege.
About the Fellowship:
The fellowship meets monthly for a year and fellows engage in ongoing and meaningful leadership development through trainings covering organizing and advocacy basics, communications, government structures, campaign planning, power mapping, public speaking, and community outreach. Policy experts speak with fellows on various topics throughout the year. Fellows also have numerous opportunities to use their advocacy skills at the Capitol and engage with policymakers.
Over the years, fellows have testified countless times before the legislature and school boards, spoken at press conferences with the Governor and other policymakers, been interviewed by local and national media, written op-eds published in local and statewide publications and served on district committees.
