Shaunette was born in Seattle, Washington and went to school in Seattle and Portland. She also raised two daughters in the PPS school district and has been an advocate for their education. Shaunette has an Associates Degree from Portland Community College and is completing her Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Portland State University. She has worked in the accounting field for over 27 years.

Shaunette is excited to combine her experience with her passion for equality in education for all children. Her hobbies include: reading, decorating, gardening, watching football and basketball games, and spending time with her Pomeranian Meeko. Shaunette’s passions include social justice and equality, parent advocacy, improving our neighborhoods and communities, and making sure all of our children receive a quality education.
