Elton, who serves as the State Organizing Director for Stand for Children, comes from a long background of building power in our black and brown communities. Fighting for issues such as education, housing, criminal justice and equality have always been the driving force that leads Elton to this type of work! His love for people is a direct result of his love for God!

Elton’s career started by volunteering with nonprofits in his community and over the last 6 years Elton has worked as an Organizer, Political Organizer, Lead Organizer and Interim Regional Director and is excited to bring his expertise to Stand. As State Organizing Director Elton is looking forward to fighting for education reform and closing the education gap for directly impacted students here in our public school system!

Elton is the father of 5 adult children and 8 grandchildren who he loves spending time with. Originally from New Jersey Elton has spent the last 40+ years living in Florida. In his spare time Elton loves watching football! Huge Cowboys fan! Love’s doing community work!
