There are two big ways that Memphians can get involved and make a stand for the future of education. Stand is proud to be working on and supporting both.

The Achievement Advisory Council Needs You!
The Achievement School district has recently launched the application for this year’s Achievement Advisory Council (AAC). The AAC is a council of Memphis community members that will serve on a voluntary basis. The Council will work with the Achievement School District, Shelby County Schools, Memphis communities, charter operators, and ultimately on behalf of Memphis students to recommend school matches for the 2015-2016 academic. The schools being matched are state “Priority List” schools, which means they are schools performing in the bottom 5% in the state, making them eligible to join Shelby County School’s iZone or the Achievement School District for intervention.
If you are interested in applying to being a member of the 2014-2015 AAC, read the description and roles and responsibilities, and you may complete the online application OR download and print the pdf version.
