2025 oregon School Board elections and candidate endorsements
On May 20, 2025, Oregonians will get a chance to make their voices heard in a special election for local offices, including school board elections. Whether you’re a parent or not, we all have a stake in our neighborhood schools. School boards set local education priorities that impact every student. Stand for Children is committed to electing school board candidates who will fight for a fair public education system that gives all students a chance to succeed.
ABOUT OUR PROCESS
Stand for Children is committed to endorsing school board candidates who are education champions and will be strong, independent voices that prioritize the needs of students. That’s why our school board endorsement process began with a questionnaire to candidates to learn about where they stand on the issues that matter most to local students and families.
Aligned school board candidates participated in an interview with our endorsement committee comprised of parents, students, and staff. After meeting with candidates, the committee came together to endorse candidates who are ready to put students at the center of district policy decisions.
