Teresa Guzman Pagan
Teresa is a political peopleer with 8+ years of experience in political campaigns and nonprofits in battleground states. Originally from the Dominican Republic, Teresa got her start as an organizer in 2016 for the Hillary for America campaign in Palm Beach County, Florida where her passion for advocating and mobilizing communities started. Teresa then worked for nonprofits in New York and Texas, working on issues like health care access and public radio/educational programming in 2017. Her return to campaigns led her to run the largest field program in South Florida for a key congressional race in Miami, FL as Field Director, and then to Arizona to help elect Democrats in the 2018 cycle as Deputy Get Out The Vote Director. Since 2019 she has served as Director of Civic Engagement at Florida Rising, the leading racial justice organization in Florida, helping run their voter registration, education and mobilization efforts. With this mix of experience, Teresa hopes to bring her passion, organizational skills and vision for improving education access and advocating for racial equity through organizing at Stand for Children.
Teresa is an avid true crime fan, lover of dogs (especially her Dachshund Kiki), and most importantly spending time with friends and family (and traveling to see them!). She has a B.A. in Political Science and Communications with a Minor in World Religions from Manhattanville College, and expects her Masters in Political Management from The George Washington University later this year.
