LaTrice Stewart Carter
LaTrice S. Carter will join the Stand for Children family as the Great First Eight Curriculum Partnership Development Director. She is an experienced educator and thought leader with a demonstrated history of working in the education management industry. She is driven by student achievement and takes pride in providing the best customer solutions possible.
For the last 14 years, LaTrice’s career path has been in educational partnerships. This role has allowed her to work extensively with community partners, schools, and other district leaders comprehensively across multiple departments by creating professional development opportunities, curriculum development, and proposals for school districts. LaTrice has also facilitated courses and taught at the K-12 and higher education levels. She founded KinderNova Academy, once a childcare center and now an educational consulting and tutoring program. This role has allowed her the opportunity to coach and mentor childcare directors and teachers on culturally responsive practices, high-quality teacher-to-child interaction, and facilitated courses on family engagement.
LaTrice graduated from the University of South Carolina with a degree in Communications (2006). She has advanced her studies with a Master’s in Educational Leadership and Management (2008) and a Master’s in Early Childhood Education (2010).
