We are pleased with the assurance that all children will be accounted for and given a chance at a successful life through the opportunity of an excellent education.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>But with states getting even greater autonomy as part of the new law, our message is this: with great flexibility comes great responsibility. It&#8217;s now up to us as a state to ensure that all Illinois students receive a fair, high-quality education. It will be imperative that we stay hyper-vigilant of our most underserved students to ensure they are receiving the supports needed to graduate from high school on time, prepared for college or career.
