Now our team has identified goals that build upon our impact in recent years and act on what we heard in listening sessions.<a href=\"https:\/\/act.stand.org\/a\/2023-co-priority-survey-statewide\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> Will you please weigh in on our plans?&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-28f84493 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:45%\">\n<div style=\"height:100px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Advocacy for Impact - 2023 Legislative Session\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/duPGXl2Q-_E?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:100px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:66.66%\">\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size\"><strong>Our Goals for Next Year:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\"><strong>Early Literacy<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Understanding how to better support&nbsp;educators to use the science of reading and evidence-based curriculums and practices in their literacy instruction.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\"><strong>Ninth Grade Success<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Expanding funding for the Ninth Grade Success Grant program.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\"><strong>Supportive Schools<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Promoting educator diversity by securing continued funding for policies that create equity in teacher preparation and alternative pathways to enter the workforce.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\"><strong>Justice System Reform<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Helping&nbsp;prevent recidivism in our justice system by updating probation and parole supervision to include remote check-in options.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Expanding access to criminal record sealing for non-violent offenses, helping to remove barriers to housing and employment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reducing unjust fees for incarcerated individuals and their families.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>We cannot do this work alone &#8211; we need your help!<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/act.stand.org\/a\/2023-co-priority-survey-statewide\">Read more about our priorities and let us know which ones you are interested in working with us to advance.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We spent time this summer in conversation with parents, educators, policymakers, and community members.
