Right now, nearly 1 in 4 students doesn't graduate on time, and our graduation rate has been stuck in the same place for decades. Only half of our 8th graders can do math at grade level -- and it's been that way since 2006.
Our children deserve better, and our future demands it. By 2020, nearly three-quarters of all jobs in Washington will require education or training beyond high school.
