Stand's upcoming family workshops

COVID-19 Resources and Updates, Current Events & News, Parent & Family Engagement | 03/12/2020

Libuse Binder
Executive Director, Stand for Children Washington

Friends,

Like you, Stand is taking action to follow the Washington State Department of Health and Governor Inslee’s guidance when it comes to COVID-19. To that end, we are moving our upcoming workshops in Spokane and the Puget Sound to an online format where possible. Our goal is to continue to provide resources to the communities we work with and support parents and families caring for students. We will post links to attend our workshops on our website at stand.org/washington.

There are considerable amounts of information being shared about COVID-19. For information specific to schools and students, please visit Washington’s Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction’s “Novel Coronavirus Guidance & Resources” webpage, which is issuing bulletins with helpful information on everything from good hygiene practices to closures to meeting students’ basic needs. The site also includes a list of contacts for specific questions.

This blog will share updates about any other changes to our programming during this time of uncertainty.

As always, please take good care of yourself, your family, and your community. Our team will continue to be in touch.

With gratitude,

Libuse Binder

Executive Director
