On Tuesday, February 6th, education advocates from around Washington state will gather for an advocacy day in Olympia to Stand Up for High School Success.
This year, 1 out of 5 students in Washington will not graduate on time. Our state is ranked 40th in the country for our graduation rates, but our economy is producing high numbers of jobs that require some level of post-secondary certification. It is our collective responsibility to make sure every student is prepared for success beyond high school.
We are standing up and standing together to raise our collective voice and letting lawmakers know that there is legislation they can support that will make a difference in our graduation rates. Read more about the High School Success bill here.
We are also proud to be hosting an evening Educaiton Champions Reception with The Black Education Strategy Roundtable and College Success Foundation on the 6th for education advocates and lawmakers to connect. Register for action and join us at the reception to make your voice heard on behalf of every Washington student.
Our team is looking forward to standing with you.
