The Stand for Children team invites you to be part of our planning process for the 2021-22 school year. For the second event in our planning series, we’d like to think creatively and dream big with you. Based on our mission to serve children whose boundless potential is overlooked and under-tapped because of their skin color, zip code, first language, or disability, what can we unlearn about school? What has the past year taught us about what is and isn’t working, what can be innovated upon, and what must be dismantled? Bring your perspective as a parent, caregiver, family member, or student, and help us think outside the box about reimagining curriculum, schedules, extracurriculars, teaching, counseling, family engagement, and other topics as we plan our next year of advocacy together. Space will be limited to facilitate discussion. Pre-registration is encouraged. Live Spanish interpretation and translated materials will be available. Register here

The Stand for Children team invites you to be part of our planning process for the 2021-22 school year. For the third event in our planning series, we’ll be reflecting on our advocacy accomplishments to support high school success over the past decade and looking ahead together to discuss what should come next. As we ride the waves of momentum of successful bills to protect school counselors’ time, support the ninth-grade transition, and remove barriers to dual credit classes, what is the next evolution of our work to support equitable policies that directly impact high school graduation rates? Come reflect and strategize with us and our partners at the Center for High School Success about how we can best support students to thrive in high school and beyond. Space will be limited to facilitate discussion. Pre-registration is encouraged. Live Spanish interpretation and translated materials will be available. Register here

The Stand for Children team invites you to be part of our planning process for the 2021-22 school year. For the fourth event in our planning series, we’ll be centering the voices and experiences of students as we strategize for how to build momentum in youth advocacy this year. What are students taking action on and How can non-profit organizations support student-centered advocacy? What is currently missing from the conversation about education in Washington? This will be a student-focused space with an emphasis on young people who are ages 14-22. Space will be limited to facilitate discussion. Pre-registration is encouraged. Live Spanish interpretation and translated materials will be available. Register here
