At the end of the day, relationships can only take a student so far. In order to truly reach the goals of Stand for Children’s mission, you must balance these personal relationships with expertise in content and instructional strategies. I plan lessons diligently; ones that engage students while making them simultaneously learn the material. I am in no way a master teacher, and will be the first to admit that I have much to learn. I seek out guidance and advice from master teachers at my campus so that I can constantly improve my task. The Education Policy and Advocacy Fellowship will allow me to continue to enhance my skills, so that all my students have the best education possible.
