Mark Billingsley, District 4
Commissioner Mark Billingsley is a Memphis-area native and graduate of Christian Brothers High School and the University of Memphis. He currently serves as Vice President for Advancement at Christian Brothers University, where he is responsible for the university’s fund development, revenue strategy, alumni gifts, and grants management. Prior to joining CBU, he most recently served as Director of Major Gifts and Planned Giving/Philanthropy for the Methodist Healthcare Foundation.
As a dedicated community servant, he is a current Board Member for the Shelby Farms Park Conservancy and the Memphis-Shelby Crime Commission. He has also served as Founder/Director of Camp Celebration for children and adults with disabilities, Scoutmaster for the Boy Scouts of America Troop 701, and coached for the Special Olympics of Greater Memphis.
He has received numerous community accolades, including induction into the Christian Brothers Hall of Fame, the Memphis Business Journal’s Top 40 under 40, and cited as a “Hometown Hero” by the City of Germantown.
Commissioner Billingsley served previous terms as both Alderman and Vice-Mayor for the City of Germantown, and has served on the Shelby County Commission since August 2012.
