Member Summit 2013

Thank you for a great 2013 Member Summit!

A quick recap of the 2013 Summit

About 70 parents and community members came out to the Summit on January 26. In the morning John Tapogna and Tim Nesbitt dived into Oregon's complicated tax system and school funding structure. In the afternoon, we split into workshops on the NCLB Waiver, English Language Learners, school finance and lobbying. If you missed it, or would like a copy of the presentations, they are all available to download on the right-hand side of this page.

At this year's Stand for Children Member Summit, build your skills to become a stronger advocate with the help of former state Rep. David Edwards. Learn what we can do for kids in 2013 from influential leaders like Tim Nesbitt, a former policy aide to Gov. Kitzhaber and Gov. Kulongoski; Dan Jamison, Vice President of Policy at Chalkboard Project; Iris Maria Chavez, Assistant Field Director at the Education Trust; & John Tapogna, President of ECONorthwest.
