Representative John Lively, House District 12
Rep. John Lively not only likes policy with good intentions, he likes to know it’s implemented well. Passage of Measure 98 is the first step, but Rep. Lively will work with us to keep it moving forward successfully, so more students graduate from high school, prepared for college or career training.
Why we endorsed Rep. John Lively
Rep. John Lively has a proven track record of supporting legislation to help our students succeed. He scored an 85 percent on the 2015-16 Legislative Scorecard.
And you couldn’t find someone more deeply committed to public schools in Lane County. He graduated from Thurston High School, Lane Community College and the University of Oregon, and he’s lived in Springfield for 49 years!
In 2014, he worked with Stand members to pass the Springfield school bond. His career includes working many years in economic development at the state and local level, including in manufacturing. He understands that we need Measure 98 to invest in our youth and help them gain real-world skills.
