Governor Kate Brown has released her 2021-23 recommended budget, and it demonstrates that she is continuing to recognize the importance of education with major investments planned for the next biennium.

We’re proud to see Gov. Brown’s recommended budget center and prioritize racial justice. This budget forces us to face systemic racism head-on and will clear a path to a brighter future for all Oregon students.

We’re also pleased to see full funding for Measure 98 and Student Investment Account, both of which prioritize equity. We look forward to advocating with you to build up this budget to ensure all systems support, not inhibit, a student’s ability to receive a high-quality education.
