Ellen knows the meaning of leadership. She’s embodied it as the chapter chair in Salem, bringing her passion and critical thinking skills to every campaign, canvassing opportunity and testimony before state and local leaders.

Sometimes, it isn’t an easy task. Just last year, Ellen represented the chapter at a budget hearing, speaking poignantly and honestly about the chapter’s decision to support the Superintendent’s recommended budget reductions.

Meet Eugene parent and Chapter Chair Eileen Nittler:

For nearly four years, Eileen has been an integral piece of the Eugene Chapter -- campaign volunteer, team coordinator, teacher evaluation task force and chapter chair.

Eileen started a member team in North Eugene, where we never had a team before. And she’s kept it going with her house parties and fearless recruitment.
