Teresa Chaurand is currently the Chief Talent & Equity Officer, she is responsible for overseeing all talent-related functions, and the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiative.
Prior to joining Stand for Children, Teresa served as an executive talent recruitment consultant with a focus on diversity and inclusion for municipalities, non-profit organizations, campaigns and corporations. Previously she worked in the Obama administration, first as a special assistant to the president in the Office of Presidential Personnel where she was responsible for sourcing candidates for the Administration and worked directly with stakeholders to identify talent and manage relationships. She then worked as director of Intergovernmental and External Affairs at the U.S Peace Corps. Prior to joining the Obama administration, Teresa worked as a senior partner at Vista Communications, her clients included corporate, non-profit and government entities.
Teresa has a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. She serves as a member of the National Committee for the Latino Victory Project and resides in Maryland.
