Did you know that students of color are four times more likely to be suspended than their peers? 

Data shows that racial discrimination in school discipline is a widespread problem. That’s why it was so disturbing to see the Trump administration move to rescind federal guidelines that protect students of color and those with disabilities from being unfairly punished.

Today, Stand for Children has joined over 100 organizations to sign on to an open letter to the Department of Education and the Department of Justice to express our strong opposition to rescission of the student discipline guidelines and to urge these departments to recommit to protecting students from racial discrimination.
