My daughter, Savannah, is about to start her junior year of high school. While my family in the bustle of back-to-school season, I’m trying to make sure I don’t lose sight of what really matters this year: growth.

The child who walks into school that first day will not be the same as the one who exits the building on the last. Before you get too comfortable in your routine, have a conversation with your child about their current interests and dreams. What do they want to get better at? Is there an extracurricular activity they want to try?

Once you’ve set a school year goal, tell us about it. We’re going to compile all the responses into a blog post so other families can read about your different aspirations and draw inspiration from them.

Savannah has two goals: 1) step out of her comfort zone and meet new people and 2) improve her photography skills. My goal is to successfully complete my final year of college so I can graduate in June while maintaining or increasing my GPA.

Share your goal today and get ready for an awesome school year!
