The For the People Act has been introduced in the Senate, but we all need to speak up today if we want to get this once-in-a-generation legislation over the finish line.
Will you take one minute to quickly call your Senators' offices and ask them to support this bill?
Legislatures in 43 states — from Arizona to Georgia to Texas— are currently at work trying to enact voter suppression bills that would create barriers to mail-in, early in-person and Election Day voting. These include stricter ID requirements, reduced polling location hours, and fewer qualifications to vote absentee. Let's be clear: This movement is a calculated attempt to prevent Black and Brown Americans from exercising their right to vote.
The For the People Act would push back against these anti-democratic efforts with policies that would expand vote by mail and reduce long wait times at the polls, end partisan and racial gerrymandering, and strengthen election cybersecurity.
We've set up a campaign to easily connect you to your Senators' offices — all you have to do is pick up your phone and use your voice to take a stand for voting rights and free and fair elections.
