In Indianapolis, parents this week showed that their voice is the difference between failing schools and a great education for children in their community.
LaToya Tahirou and Krystale Massey led the charge to get and deliver 500 signatures to the Indianapolis Public Schools board, demanding change for their neighborhood’s school.
When parents lead the community to be part of the change in their children’s education, people take notice. A school that for a decade has been rated a “D” or “F” is now on the radar for the district and talking about real change.
