As everyone heats up the ovens and raises a glass to toast this week, there’s one thing we want to say:

Thank you.

Thank you to our hard-working members, who spent hours canvassing and testifying before the legislature in states such as Illinois and Louisiana this year. They spent hours collecting signatures to support policies, such as Teachers Matter in Oklahoma and high academic standards in Colorado. They put forth smart plans to improve their schools. They rallied at Capitol buildings from Washington to Massachusetts.

Thank you to our dedicated supporters, who signed those petitions, shared our stories, read with their children, wrote to their local school boards and legislatures, and pledged to keep up their children’s attendance.

Thank you to our generous donors, who keep our nonprofit doors open and the lights on. They ensure we are able to fight for the best education policies for children and help parents become an active part of their child’s education in Stand University for Parents. They allow us to both use and provide resources that expand the reach of our work.

Thank you to our enthusiastic and determined staff, who work as a well-oiled machine to implement our work day in and day out.

Thank you to our partner organizations, both nationally and locally, for the work they do for children, families, and teachers, as well as for the support they show us.

We couldn’t do what we do without any of you, and we are grateful for the wonderful things you’ve done this year and in the past.

Wishing everyone a very happy, healthy, and safe Thanksgiving from Stand for Children!
