Stand’s 2012 Agenda: The Year in Review

Choice of one (1) of the following:
- Building a strong local voice
Join other Stand members to share challenges and strategies for building stronger, enduring chapters.
- Effective Citizen Lobbying
Can grassroots lobbying really make a difference for our children and their schools? Absolutely! Learn why it works, and learn the skills you’ll need to be an effective advocate. This workshop will provide an opportunity to practice and prepare for one-on-one discussions, delegation meetings, in-district meetings, and organized lobbying events.
- Executing a strong local campaign
Join members from across the state to learn about past wins and upcoming local campaigns. Members will share best practices and apply strategies to ensure that you can mobilize your local membership to execute a winning campaign for children in your chapter!
- Telling Your Story: Why You Stand for Children
Everyone has a story to tell, and your story about why you Stand for Children needs to be told. Practice your storytelling to have the greatest impact, whether you’re talking with friends, neighbors, colleagues, or even reporters.
