Stand MA has some great news -- we are expanding our Organizing team. Please welcome Ángel Ramirez and Ronald (RJ) Cross.

Ángel was born in Rio Grande, Texas and raised in Chihuahua, Mexico. Coming from a Mexican/American family, Angel developed an interest in political change and community development at a young age. After graduating from the University of Texas at El Paso, he began working with the local tax assessor and was quickly recognized for his natural skills in community work. Later he would go on to work across Texas as a community organizer for local and congressional campaigns.

"I am excited to join the Stand Massachusetts team and help empower parents with the tools they need to ensure their children receive a quality education and have successful lives."  - Angel

RJ is a native Marylander who has lived in the Boston area for three years. He got his start in corporate management and found his way to teaching special education in the Brookline school system. His passion is strongly tied to educating and empowering the community to become more self-advocating and to feel comfortable tackling the problems they are facing.

"I am thankful for the opportunity to join the Stand Massachusetts team. It’s an exciting time to be working in the education space in Massachusetts, and we have a chance to make our biggest impact yet."  - RJ.

Both Ángel and RJ will be working in Greater Boston communities to empower residents and promote the Every Child Reads campaign. They will also lead efforts to expand our reach into new communities in the region.

Welcome, Ángel and RJ!
