April is Mathematics Awareness Month! Let’s celebrate by trying these activities that Mathnaisum Learning Center recommends. 

Here are a few simple activities to try at home or in the classroom to engage students in math--in a fun way.  These activities are so straightforward and enjoyable that your student won’t even notice they are learning!

 Guess the Number

  • Kids grade K
  • 2 – 30 participants
  • counting 1 to 100, more than/less than, halving, probability

Cookie Trove Game

  • Kids grade 3+
  • 2 – 12 participants
  • Need 2 six-sided die + Index Cards
  • probability

Magic Plus Game

  • Kids grade 2+
  • 2 – 12 participants + Set of dominoes
  • problem-solving
