A child's early years are so important for development, this is why early learning needs to be encouraged in every way and is essential for the child’s future. Preschool is important, it promotes and stimulates the child, helps strengthen the emotional and motor development, and develops skills that will prepare the student for the rest of their education.
As a member leader of Stand for Children Massachusetts, and a member of the community of East Boston, "I’m in for Pre-K." That's why last Thursday, May 28 in the company of other members of Stand for Children and the community, joined together to collect signatures supporting the "Pre-K for MA" campaign. In just one hour we collected about 100 signatures. I want to thank all those who accompanied me that day, and everyone who signed the petition especially to Mr. Salvatore LaMattina, Boston City Councilor, representing the cities of East Boston, North End, and Charlestown who also said "I’m in for Pre-K."
It's important that our children have access to high-quality Pre-K, it strengthens their academic and socio-emotional foundation that will put them on the right track for the rest of their education. This will help students achieve their goals, go to college, and become successful professionals that benefit society.
