EBR District 5 - Evelyn Ware-Jackson

As a mother of three East Baton Rouge Parish School graduates, Evelyn Ware-Jackson has been an active member of the community through volunteer service and as a school board member for the past eight years.

Parents also cited Ms. Ware-Jackson’s willingness to meet with them throughout the course of her previous time on the board to hear their concerns and suggestions about the state of public education in East Baton Rouge Parish.

“Ms. Evelyn Ware-Jackson has always been open to meet with and listen to the concerns of parents and grandparents. That relationship is important for the school board member representing us.” - Brenda Christopher.

Ms. Ware-Jackson has openly expressed her commitment to holding both the Superintendent and district leadership accountable for how well they are serving students through clear, transparent performance metrics.
