I am so pleased Dr. Narcisse was able to join our parent, student, and faith members last week to talk about EBR's new scorecard. If you haven't yet checked out the scorecard, I highly recommend you do. The scorecard is a tool that will allow us all to watch our district as it makes progress toward our shared priorities, outlined in our district's strategic Plan. The scorecard allows anyone to see our district's benchmarks, current status, and projected stats for metrics like student performance, attendance, employee retention, enrollment, early education seats, and literacy.
Last week, Dr. Narcisse, along with Chief Officer of Accountability & Assessments Andrea Okonski and Chief of Communications & Public Relations Alexandra Deiro Stubbs, joined our parents and members in a webinar to discuss the scorecard and the district's progress toward goals. Here's what some of our members had to say:
I found the meeting to be very informative, and I love the fact that we can check the progress of individual schools online. I feel the Superintendent was open to feedback and suggestions and was very knowledgeable an able to answer our concerns. -Alean B Walker
Thank you greatly for a scorecard that can be used in confidence to keep the community updated on the district’s progress towards reaching the goals that have been outlined in the strategic plan. Based on the scorecard and other actions taken recently, it is clear to me that this board is prioritizing community involvement, student success, and teacher support, which, to me, is a huge step in the right direction. We (myself, our community’s faith leaders, the community and our children) thank you for your proactiveness and your intentionality put into making the East Baton Rouge School District, as well as East Baton Rouge Communities better places for our children to learn, live, and build their futures. -Dr. LaFonda Heard
Thank you for designing and releasing such a transparent and accessible scorecard to keep the community updated on the district’s progress toward goals outlined in the strategic plan. Based on the scorecard and other actions taken recently, it is clear this board is prioritizing community involvement, student success, and teacher support. -Jason Harris
I believe the scorecard is a tool that will keep us, as a district, united in our work for our children and focused on the priorities we outlined in the strategic plan.
