BATON ROUGE,  La., March 17, 2021 – AT&T has contributed $50,000 to Stand for Children Louisiana, a non-profit organization focused on ensuring all students receive a high quality, relevant education, to support the ongoing efforts to maintain and improve education opportunities for Louisiana’s underserved young people.

“This support from AT&T and the continuing engagement from the business community is vital to our continuing efforts in Louisiana to cultivate more promising futures for Louisiana’s students,” said Carrie Griffin Monica, Executive Director of Stand for Children – Louisiana.

Stand for Children Louisiana is an established education nonprofit that seeks to create a brighter future for every child by advocating for proven education policies.

“The work being done by Stand for Children Louisiana is critical to the future of our workforce and our communities, and they are a reliable and impactful organization that is making a tremendous difference in the lives of Louisiana’s youth,” said State Representative Ray Garofalo, Chairman of the House Education Committee.

With AT&T’s support, Stand for Children Louisiana will continue to cultivate relationships across the state, providing parents with the tools they need to effectively engage in the education policy debates at the state and local levels.

“For more than 140 years, AT&T has been committed to keeping Louisiana connected,” said Matt Adams, Regional Director, AT&T Louisiana. “While that is most often through technology and high-speed services delivered by our wired and wireless networks, we are also committed to building the critical connections with community organizations that share our dedication to the strength of the communities where we live and work.”

In addition to enhancing and expanding our networks, our teams continue to work to strengthen our communities by supporting organizations – like Stand for Children Louisiana – that are helping build better futures.
