Alexandra Deiro Stubbs, Marketing and Communications Director for Stand for Children Louisiana, has been accepted to Leadership Louisiana’s Class of 2020! Alex joins a cadre of over 1,200 distinguished program alumni, including three Stand Louisiana team members: Executive Director Carrie Griffin Monica, Policy and Implementation Director Dr. Keith Leger, and Government Affairs Director Brigitte Nieland.
Started in 1989, Leadership Louisiana is a program facilitated by Council for A Better Louisiana (CABL). The year-long leadership program brings together dynamic leaders and thinkers from across the state and across industry, advocacy, and community services spectrums. Participants study the challenges facing the state of Louisiana and the opportunities for meeting those challenges.
Alex has been an invaluable member of the Stand team for over five years, joining the team after a successful tenure as a TV journalist. Alex is also a recent graduate of the prestigious Flores Executive MBA program at Louisiana State University, a course of study which took her to both Asia and Great Britain for capstone policy studies.
Stand for Children Louisiana Executive Director Carrie Griffin Monica notes “As a leader, my greatest joy comes from watching team members grow and strengthen their own leadership abilities. As a team, we have many dynamic leaders and Alex’s acceptance into Leadership Louisiana’s class of 2020 is further proof of the talent, drive, and dedication of the people I am blessed to work with every day. I know that Alex will represent our organization well and will continue to leverage everything she learns toward achieving our goal of improving access to quality education for all of Louisiana’s students.”
