The work of Stand for Children Louisiana is about students. It’s about making sure that all students have what they need to succeed in life.
It’s also about making sure that every adult in their life has the tools they need to fight for their education.
A few weeks ago – a dedicated cohort of New Orleans parents graduated from Stand University for Parents with the tools they need to be better advocates for their students;
- Better involvement at school - “It really was very informative and I am so glad that I came, I am definitely going to be more involved. Thank you Stand for taking time to guide me and lead me to better my son’s education.” – Claudette Green
- To be a voice for children - “ We’re also able to work with Stand’s organizer, Le’Kedra, to educate and get that help that we need so that we can help our children and advocate for them.” - Natasha Lee Baylor
- Ensuring all students have access to college - “Without them I don’t know what we would do, because we as parents who didn’t go to college don’t know the steps to take to get our children to college and Stand for Children really guided us.” - Debra Henlow
The great things that we achieve through Stand Up and community parent workshops can only continue with your generous support.
