An educator, political scientist and author, Rick studies K-12 and higher education issues. His books include The Same Thing Over and Over, Education Unbound, Common Sense School Reform, Revolution at the Margins, Spinning Wheels, and Cage-Busting Leadership. He is also the author of the popular Education Week blog, “Rick Hess Straight Up.” We hope you'll join us to hear Rick, a former East Baton Rouge Parish Educator, talk about how Baton Rouge teachers, parents and students can transform classrooms, schools, and systems, and lead like "cage-busters who are deadly serious about doing what needs to be done for their kids."
