    Kristine grew up all across the west coast, attending public schools in Washington, California, and Nevada. After completing her undergraduate studies at Pepperdine University, Kristine began her career in education as a Teach For America Corps Member in 2005 teaching sixth grade English Language Arts, Social Studies, and World Geography in South Central Los Angeles.

    Ja’Neane was raised in Indianapolis and is proud to call herself a Hoosier. A graduate of Arsenal Technical High School, Ja’Neane often dotes on the awesome instruction she received in the foreign language magnet where she studied Arabic, French, Spanish and World Cultures.

    Jay hails from a small town that you’ve probably never heard of called Clayton, Indiana. He graduated from Ball State University with a degree in newspaper journalism. After a brief stint on the police beat for The Star Press (Muncie), Jay entered politics.

    Matt grew up in Indianapolis and is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, where he majored in Sociology. After teaching or running an after-school program in the School District of Philadelphia for six years, Matt has gone on to do education policy work with Jobs for the Future and Lumina Foundation for Education.

    Laura grew up in Cincinnati, and is the proud product of great public schools there. She attended DePauw University, majoring in Spanish and Religious Studies. She developed her passion and commitment to educational equity while tutoring during an internship in Southeast Washington, DC.

    A native of Indianapolis, Katie is a graduate of the MSD of Lawrence Township. Her interest in education was piqued during a college internship that exposed her to the world of charter schools.
