Scott was born and raised in Hudson, Wisconsin where he attended the local public high school. Scott earned his Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Political Science from Marquette University.
As marketing & communications manager, Scott manages the public-facing aspects of Stand’s work and assists in the recruitment and organizing of members via social media and advocacy campaigns. These projects drive Stand’s effort to achieve real change in the movement for better schools.
Following graduation, Scott moved to Washington, DC where he began his career at the Parkinson’s Action Network. As communications manager, he led grassroots advocacy campaigns to raise awareness and influence policymakers. Most recently, he served as the online communications manager at the Managed Funds Association where he led online strategy and implementation. Scott joined Stand for Children as a regional digital strategist, managing the digital presence and advocacy outreach for the Illinois, Massachusetts, and Oregon affiliates.
Scott lives in Chicago with his wife and young daughter and their fun-loving French Bulldog, Angus, where he remains active with the Marquette alumni club and its efforts to make a college education attainable for local students.
