Kayla grew up just outside of St. Paul, Minnesota and attended public schools in the area. After graduating from the University of Minnesota with a degree in Political Science and Sociology, she left her beloved state for new adventures in Chicago.
She spent six years working for The Princeton Review helping students from all different backgrounds achieve the test scores they needed to be accepted into their dream school. Throughout her time there she recognized the problem that not every student has the same opportunity to graduate from high school, let alone attend college. This led her to pursue a career with Stand for Children. As the Illinois State Operations Coordinator Kayla will coordinate local office operations, assist with event management, support her Executive Director and the entire Illinois team.
When Kayla is not exploring her new city she can be found playing volleyball, watching Minnesota hockey, or volunteering for literacy efforts.
