COVID-19 continues to have a devastating impact, especially on many underserved communities here in Chicago. The pandemic, to say nothing of the recent civil unrest due to the continued loss of Black lives here and across the country, has highlighted many of the inequities we continue to fight against.
Your voice is needed now more than ever to advocate for children and families. As we prep for the upcoming school year, it is vital that leaders and institutions hear from you.
CPS recently partnered with Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and Lurie Children's Hospital to conduct a family survey that will help them better understand the physical, mental, and emotional impact of COVID-19.
Hopefully you already took this survey when CPS sent it out, but if you didn’t, please do now. Don’t waste this opportunity to be heard. As CPS plans for the resumption of school in the fall, your thoughts on the current state of our city and schooling will help influence their policies and decisions.
