One of the most important duties we have as participants in our government is to vote. Of course, you need to register to vote before you cast your ballot.

And there is no better day to register to vote (or confirm your registration) than today: National Voter Registration Day! Take a moment today to verify your voter registration status. If you aren’t registered, go here to get signed up.

We have a lot of vital elections headed our way next year. March brings us the 2020 Primary Election. And of course, November 3 is the big one: the General Election where we will vote for, among other things, the next President.

Voting is one of the ways we can change the world. We can support candidates who fight for educational equity. We can oust those who fail to stand up for children.

I’m confirming my voter registration today to do my part for National Voter Registration Day. I hope you’ll join me.

Then, we need to get to the polls next year to ensure our voices are heard.
