As Chicago continues grappling with reopening school buildings in the safest, most student-centered way possible, the voices of parents and caregivers must remain central in that discussion. That’s why we reached out to hear directly from Chicago parents.

Our reach was citywide, but we leaned in hard to give voice to the communities where we are raising our children and grandchildren.

These neighborhoods are rich with culture and a belief in a brighter future. They are also the areas hardest hit by COVID-19 and where fewer families are sending their children back to school.
