If we’ve learned anything from the past few months – even the past few years – it’s that the world needs kindness now more than ever.
Thankfully, today is World Kindness Day. And we have a shining example of kindness in action, right here in our backyard!
The educators and students at Palmer Elementary School in Chicago have embraced the message of the Teach Kindness program and made it a part of their school. They are spreading the message of kindness, creating beautiful art projects, and learning to put kindness into action.
Don’t take my word for it, see for yourself!
Teachers, you can bring kindness like this to your school by getting registered for Teach Kindness. Visit weteachkindness.org to sign up today.
Teach Kindness provides access to research-based tools and resources, free of charge, to educators who want to incorporate kindness into the school day. It can be taught in virtual or in-person classroom settings, offering flexibility for the various learning environments brought on by the pandemic. The pandemic has also put a premium on social-emotional learning, and Teach Kindness is an SEL learning experience tailored to whatever learning looks like for your students this fall.
Today, let’s dedicate ourselves to being kinder and showing more empathy. Together, we can make a difference and continue to #TeachKindness.
