Thanksgiving is a day that warms the soul. Gathering with family, enjoying a wonderful meal, and taking time to reflect on everything for which we are thankful. I look forward to it every year.
And on this Thanksgiving Day, we are especially thankful for folks like you.
This year, you stood up for Illinois students and fought for fair school funding. You joined the fight to fix the unfair pension debt issue that unjustly took money from our poorest schools. You pushed Illinois to improve the way it grades schools, and they listened. Others fought for Illinois kids in other ways, whether through supporting our organization, contacting their local officials, or working in areas outside education entirely.
All of it made a difference.
Together, we made our schools a better place this year. And for everything you did, actions both large and small, thank you. Nothing goes unnoticed, and we were able to accomplish so much this year thanks to all that you did.
So, as we sit at the table with our loved ones today, know that we are extremely thankful for your unwavering support. Have a happy and safe Thanksgiving, and let’s rededicate ourselves to an even better 2018.
P.S.: As we enter the home stretch of 2017, don’t forget that Giving Tuesday is just around the corner. Every gift to Stand that day will be doubled, meaning your generosity will be multiplied for the year ahead.
