Attending school is not just something your child does. Regular attendance boosts their academics and improves their prospects for college and career. Not only that, but it can be fun, too!

Take it from Keyon, who loves reading, because “our reading teacher lets us read books all day.” I don’t know about you, but to me that sure sounds like a student who loves going to school!

Keyon’s mom, Marquita – a Stand member and parent leader – knows that school isn’t just fun and games for him. She knows the impact that missing school can have on Keyon, saying, “Missing three days of school a month might not seem like a lot, but it adds up. Keep that up and your child can get set back one or two years.”

See more of Keyon and Marquita’s story in the video below, then be sure to sign the pledge to show your support for your child’s academic success!
