Chicago Public Schools recently released district graduation rates for 2016 and they’re on the rise!

In a sizable increase from last year, about three in four 9th graders now earns a high school diploma. And when it comes to getting our children across the graduation stage, attendance matters a lot.

The rise in students finishing high school correlates with increases in on-track rates among freshman. Research from the University of Chicago's Consortium on Chicago School Research shows that supporting freshman students to show up for school and pass all their classes is the single-most important factor in them receiving a diploma.

If you're looking to have a positive impact on your child's success at school, pledge to take 5 important actions to help them stay on track to a bright future.
