Top of the morning!

Today we’re celebrating St. Patrick’s Day here at the Stand offices in Chicago, but we’re also keeping up the fight for fair school funding.

The luck of where you are born and grow up shouldn’t control the quality of education you receive. But for too many children here in Illinois, that’s exactly the circumstances they face.

A stroke of luck places some children in great schools with fantastic opportunities -- the kind of opportunities every parent wants for their children.

But a different stroke of luck places many other children in under-performing schools that don’t offer those opportunities.

That’s why we are fighting for fair school funding here in Illinois. If we fix this problem, families won’t need to worry about luck when it comes to the education of their children. Please take a quick second out of your celebrations today to take action for fair school funding.
