If you are anything like me, you sometimes dread looking at e-mail or turning on the TV as Election Day nears, knowing that there will be more election-related notes or commercials. But, you also know how important these elections are, not only for the education issues we care so deeply about, but our communities as a whole.

After those campaign commercials and news stories, you may not need yet another reminder to vote tomorrow. But, the stakes in tomorrow’s election really are high. The future of Chicago’s schools is on the ballot, and it is important that we elect education champions to fight for the issues that are most important to Chicagoans like us.

Here is an easy resource to find your polling place. Take a look, make a plan to vote tomorrow, and tell your friends and loved ones to make a plan to vote, too. Each and every vote counts!

Every child deserves access to a high-quality public school with excellent teachers who provide a 21st century education. Every child deserves to graduate high school, regardless of background, prepared for and with access to a college education.

Please remember to vote tomorrow. Together, we can move closer to our goal of ensuring all kids receive the education they need to succeed in life.
